Boost for Burnbank CFA

Burnbank CFA are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.

Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.

The Labor Member for Western Victoria, Jaala Pulford, today announced a $1,261 grant for Burnbank CFA to purchase a fridge/freezer and transit bag.

“This grant will assist volunteers with the Burnbank Brigade in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe,” Ms Pulford said.

Minister for Emergency Services, James Merlino, said the Government is supporting the significant contribution of the more than 100,000 emergency management volunteers across Victoria.

“The Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants Program has been established to ensure emergency management volunteers can continue to deliver their crucial work, protecting Victorian properties and lives,” Mr Merlino said.
