Boost to revamp community health in Horsham

The Andrews Labor Government will invest $876,000 towards the relocation of the Horsham campus of Grampians Community Health.

Labor Member for Western Victoria, Jaala Pulford, today announced Grampians Community Health will share in $9.8 milion for a range of redevelopments, refurbishments and infrastucture upgrades across the state.

Ms Pulford said rural Victoria is a big winner with $5.875 million going towards five community health facilities.

“I’m pleased that we have secured $870,000 towards the relocation costs,” she said.

“This is great news for the people of the Wimmera,” Ms Pulford said.

“This investment in community health care will mean better facilities, faster and safer care for people in Horsham, helping them live well and receive support close to home,” she said.

“Community health services play a unique role in the Victorian health system providing integrated health and social services for vulnerable Victorians that are tailored to meet the needs of local communities,” Ms Pulford said.

The Victorian Budget 2017/18 delivered $1.67 billion to support hospitals meet demand and provide high quality care Victorian patients deserve.
