LABOR SUPPORTS COMMUNITY LEADERS IN REGIONAL VICTORIA

An Andrews Labor Government will support the Regional Community Leadership Program with more dedicated funding.

Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Regional and Rural Development, Jaala Pulford, joined Victorian Regional Community Leadership Program Executive Officer, Kat Baddeley, to announce the news ahead of the VCRLP annual general meeting.

Labor’s $8 million plan will help the highly successful and recently expanded program to run for a further four years.

The program supports regional Victoria’s community agencies and not-for-profits by training local leaders across business, industry and government to assist them.

The program has had over 2,500 graduates since its inception, contributing over $13
million each year in voluntary community work in 1300 organisations.
