Loddon Mallee Collaboration Sets Path For Growth

Minister for Regional Development, Jaala Pulford today welcomed the launch of the 2016 Loddon Mallee Investment Prospectus, which identifies a range of investment-ready projects to promote economic growth in the region.

The Minister joined the Chair of the Loddon Mallee  Regional Development Australia (RDA)Committee Linda Beilharz, and Chief Executive Officers from Loddon Mallee Local Government Areas to officially launch the prospectus in Bendigo today following the first meeting of the Rural and Regional Committee.

Minister Pulford congratulated the members of the Loddon Mallee RDA for working collaboratively with councils and stakeholders to set a unified agenda of priority projects seeking investment.

All 27 projects within the prospectus are underpinned  by the long-term strategic planning work already undertaken by the region, and together these projects have the ability to accelerate the region’s economy.

The projects focus on the themes of creating of new businesses, building economic and social infrastructure and investing in tourism.
The Andrews Labor Government supports regional collaboration and is establishing nine Regional Partnerships to help Victoria’s regions set  their own priorities and drive these straight into the heart of Government.

Activities such as the development of the Loddon Mallee Investment Prospectus are a good opportunity for regions to ready themselves to utilise the newly created pathways into Government.
