New Campaign Shows The Moment Is Now For Ballarat
A new campaign designed to put Ballarat on the map and attract new residents, visitors, students and new industries to the city was unveiled today.
Minister for Regional Development, Jaala Pulford, today officially launched the ‘Ballarat – The Moment Is Now’ media campaign, which aims to promote Ballarat’s enviable lifestyle and boost community pride among residents.
In 2014, the Committee for Ballarat identified the need to develop a brand narrative to promote Ballarat’s liveability, innovative projects and world-class facilities.
This resulting video campaign showcases the lifestyle Ballarat boasts today, whilst retaining pride in the city’s heritage and will be shown in the local community and more broadly around the state.
As the capital of Western Victoria, Ballarat offers exciting business and work options, first-class infrastructure, affordable housing and visionary projects to create a sustainable future.
The Andrews Labor Government is creating jobs and helping Ballarat to grow by supporting a number of important projects through the Government’s $500 million Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund.
Key projects include $31.5 million to redevelop the Eureka Precinct, $25 million for the Ballarat Station Precinct and $8 million for Sovereign Hill’s Blood on the Southern Cross Light and Sound Show.
These investments will act as a catalyst for the ongoing commercial investment, job generation and development of the broader region.
The Government’s recently released Regional Statement will provide further opportunities for growth and development in regional cities such as Ballarat, with the establishment of nine new Regional Partnerships across the state.
The new Partnerships will give regional communities a stronger voice in government-decision making by directing local priorities straight into the heart of the Labor Government’s agenda.
The City of Ballarat will form part of the new Central Highlands Region which will ensure government decisions and investments reflect the priorities of the families, workers and businesses in Ballarat.
